Crème de la Crème roses for a special birthday lady who has always been a role model to me, professionally (if only I wanted to be a Principal) and personally. She always strives to be the best of the best.
It’s an incredible joy to come across individuals who are committed to excellence in every aspect of their lives. Their example motivates others, as well as reminds us that we have the ability and strength to succeed in life despite of the roadblocks or limitations set in our paths.
So it was my pleasure to create a special birthday arrangement requested by my two wonderful secretaries at work (I couldn’t function without them!). This alone is such a great testament to a special lady. We haven’t worked with her for the last five years, yet she is thought of with much affection and respect.
To tell the truth, I was a little nervous. Really! First, I couldn’t decide on a color scheme. Then, I thought, “What if it’s not nice enough?’ THE PRESSURE!

As always, when in doubt, I STOP THINKING! Which isn’t very difficult to do
. Instead, I just select what looks pretty at the Flower Mart, not paying much attention to names or flower type.
Selecting the flowers, creating the arrangement and delivering went well.
Then I started worrying about a title for this blog….blank, blank, BLANK! Again, I stopped thinking and instead I started researching the flowers I had incorporated into the design.
The title came to me as soon as I realized what I had purchased…Crème de la Crème roses! Isn’t it just so appropriate. I couldn’t have planned this, even if I had wanted to.
PROOF! We are inspired by forces (other individuals and a Universal Entity) greater than ourselves and we need to learn to trust in our abilities and strengths. We should become Crème de la Crème , the best of the best, in our fields of choice.

A Little Bit About The Flowers
Crème de la Crème Roses; one of the newest varieties available in the flower market. This Ecuadorian rose is a soft buttery yellow flower which opens into an eye-pleasing cup-shaped bloom. The large flower head contrasts beautifully against its dark green foliage, and makes a lovely addition to a wedding bouquet, table centerpiece or flower arrangement. Just take a look at my design!
Viburnum can be mistaken as a green hydrangea, but it’s not referred to by the same name. The flowering crown is a lot smaller than a hydrangea, making it more delicate looking and manageable in arrangements.
Forsythia is a flowering branch of medium height. The small, tiny white blooms resemble stars.
